Purple Posy Materials Kit

Purple Posy, a Tape Measure Cozy, is the first 2024 Stitch Snippet stitch-along project on Needle 'n Thread.

Learn how to create a retractable tape measure cover, from start to finish! We will embroider a colorful decorative band and two pretty floral motifs in bullion knots and other easy stitches; embellish the embroidery with beads; construct the cover with its decorative beaded edge; create a beaded pull fob for the tape measure using a variety of specialty beads and a charm; and assemble all of it into a lovely and serviceable tool.

This kit will provide all the materials you need to embroider and construct the tape measure cover. Each kit includes the following:

• 100% Linen embroidery fabric
• Full skeins of DMC cotton floss
• 3 types of fine English embroidery needles
• Two types of Miyuki seed beads
• Specialty items for the pull fob, including a round natural amethyst bead, crystal peridot bicones, charm, and more
• Beading wire
• All foundation materials, including two types of interfacing and two weights of plastic forms
• Tailor's Retractable Tape Measure: 80" tape measure, 1/2" wide, with imperial and metric measurements
