A beautiful, superb quality Italian even-weave linen in a collection of lovely, contemporary colors.
With approximately 37 threads per inch in a plump, full weave, the linen is suitable for both counted embroidery techniques and surface embroidery. Unlike many even-weave fabrics, this weave is full enough to support surface embroidery techniques like free-style embroidery, crewel work, and more.
Each piece of linen in the sample pack is 12" square, cut on the thread. There are four colors: a deep sky blue, a spring grass-green, a warm buttery yellow, and a lavender-pink.
I used this linen on several samples in my e-book Stitch Sampler Alphabet. I've also used it for a reticello sampler and for counted techniques, as well as other surface embroidery projects. It's versatile and sturdy, with a smooth hand and full weave.
