Embellished Wool Hearts - Full Kit

Embroider a group of charming three-dimensional felted wool hearts in red and coral pink.

Each kit comes with 4 pre-felted wool hearts (two of each color, 1.5" hearts); 6 full skeins of beautiful Heathway embroidery wool; a spool of repositionable guide tape; chenille needle; and instructions.

You supply scissors, pins (optional), and any further embellishments you wish to add.

With this project, you'll learn to stitch free-style embroidery stitches on 3-dimensional objects, using a guide tape to maintain straight lines where necessary. The instructions include tips for stitching, diagrams of the embroidery stitches used on the samples, and photos of other samples for inspirational possibilities.

Consider the hearts a foundation for your own creative approach to embellishment! There are no specific patterns for these 3-D objects, but there are basic stitch suggestions and photos of the finished samples if you want to produce them exactly. The point of this type of project, though, is to interpret things the way you want to - you can choose to use the stitches included in the instructions, or you can branch out to whatever stitches you desire.
