Cotton Quartet is part of the Stitch Snippets series on Needle 'n Thread, where we work small embroidery projects from start to finish as a stitch-along on the blog.

The end result of Cotton Quartet is a beautiful tool wallet - a needle book and scissor keep - made from a stitch sampler worked in a variety of white cotton threads and small pearl-luster glass beads on natural linen.

The inside of the needle book & scissor keep is lined with yarn dyed gingham in periwinkle, with a touch of decorative gingham lace embroidery. To finish the small tool wallet, the edge is beaded with coordinating periwinkle glass beads.

The entire process of creating Cotton Quartet is covered step-by-step on Needle 'n Thread. As a follow-along project, please note that the materials kit does not contain instructions.

Kit Contents

The materials kit for Cotton Quartet includes everything you need to finish the project, with the exception of an embroidery hoop or frame, scissors, and, for finishing, sewing thread and pins or clips.

Each kit contains a high quality even-weave natural colored linen, yarn-dyed 1/8" gingham for the lining, all interfacings, wool blend felt, five cotton embroidery threads (floss, floche, coton a broder, and perle cotton in two different weights), two types of Miyuki glass beads, Miyuki specialty beading thread, and three superior quality hand embroidery needles.
